Made With Love Market: The Day After

Wow. Feels like I've been forced to do a hundred squats and lunges today. I say 'forced' because that's the only way you'd ever see me doing regimented exercise.
(don't judge me)

Market Day is a full body workout from dawn till dusk. I was awake at 4am. Not by choice of course. I had set my alarm for 5.30am in a way that suggested I was hoping for a decent night's sleep. It was not to be. With a new puppy in the house and my brother getting ready for his working day in the wee hours it was impossible to get back to blissful slumber until the last few moments before my alarm went off...

Here is how the day panned out:
4am-5.29am Awakened by crying puppy and brothers lack of morning noise reduction skills.
5.29am Fell asleep
5.30am ***ALARM*** OK. I'm up.
Took puppy out for walk.
Packed the car.
Convinced puppy to go back to sleep (ha!)
Defrost car windscreen so I can see where I'm going...
Drive for 30 minutes marvelling at sunrise and general beauty of world when no one else is awake.
Arrive at venue and immediately seek out a trolley to be my helper as I have no one to carry boxes for me today.
Found a trolley (yay!)
Unpack & setup in what must be a record time for me. 1.5 hours

So happy with my stall setup today! It looks pretty good doesn't it?
You wont find any photos of me at my stall today. Scary shadows under eyes does not make for good photos
Ginger Kelly Studio artwork & my Thistle and Fox textiles and accessories on display at the Made With Love Markets in Coffs Harbour on Sunday

Part of my display showing a few of my charm bracelets, felt hair barrettes, toadstool pincushions, brass star bobby pins and fabric cosmetic pouches as well as packets of my postcards and small prints in the back row.

my newly refurbished (and very old) jewelry display case made from my great grandmothers silver cutlery happy to have something of hers to carry with me & keep my treasures safe in.

baskets, boxes and lots of different levels to display my wares

lights! My rose fairy lights glowed brightly on their new trellis stands (usually used to train real flowers, they worked perfectly for my climbing roses LED lights)

little kids were coming over and running their hands over the faux grass all day long...they love the feel of it for some reason! I have to admit that it looks pretty good as a table covering. You gotta love a bit of astro turf

Prints on display. I really needed a bit of extra table space but again, a couple of stacked boxes with a tablecloth over them worked ok...until I needed to get something out of the box & dropped the entire load of cards and prints all over the floor......waking up early does bad things to my co-ordination and logical thinking skills

setup accomplished in 1.5 hrs without any helpers this time...and my poor spine & legs are paying for it today! I'm going to have to beg for assistance from a few friends in September

Despite arriving late & setting up in a rush I did quite well in sales and almost ran out of business cards! I take that as confirmation that I had quite alot of visitors to my stall and I spoke to many very interested (& interesting) people throughout the day. The overall mood was very positive with some great feedback from buyers. My only wish is that I'd had more time to stroll round & visit the other stalls! Kicking myself now. Oh well...will definitely do this next time

Anyone who signed up for my email newsletter at the markets yesterday will already know about the giveaway I'm currently running but for those who don't know, I'll have all the info posted on this blog later tonight.

Thankyou to everyone who came along and a huge thankyou to those involved in organising & running the behind the scenes for making it another wonderful day at Made with Love! xox
